Matt
Matt says
The Duke Street Kings are like the Mafia. We got him to fill in
for a gig and now he can't seem to successfully quit. He was our
bassist for a while, but now has migrated back to guitar. He started
playing in his teens after his brother got a guitar and gave up
on it. Matt thought he could be the next Jimmy Page. The next
really tall Jimmy Page without all that hair.
He didn't really get serious until after college, but has now been
jamming around Denver in different bands since the mid 90s. Matt played
for a while in Dashboard Jesus with Al and Andrew which is how he got
the call for the open bassist role. At 6'7" he is probably the tallest
gigging guitarist in Denver although Ranger is now claiming the
universe on stage. He digs Jimmy Page, Jimi Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn,
Angus Young, Billy Gibbons, Dickie Betts and Santana. Matt has accepted
his role in the Duke Street Mafia and is looking to achieve Capo
status...
