Besides wondering why there are no tubas or trombones in Denver music, Doug is busy trying to come up with an appropriate nickname in line with his musical heroes "Doctor" John, "Professor" Longhair, "King" Oliver, "Queen" Irma Thomas, "Honeydripper" Roosevelt Sykes, "Emperor" Ernie K-Doe, and "Shut That Crap Off" Egan, his sister's nickname during high school. "Supreme Commander of the Allied Keyboard Forces", anyone? He loves music history, and has also spent time living in Memphis. He wants you to know that 100 years ago there was a music club in New Orleans called "The Funky Butt", showing that there are few truly new things under the sun.
